The time in history was just after the great depression in the United States . People were scared and frightened. They were looking for answers. An interest in Spiritualism and the idea that there could be an afterlife became popular. A small group of men and women met to form what was known as a seance or circle to tap into the cosmic energies. They met regularly from 1934 to 1941. One woman was the channel and someone acted as a scribe. Their sessions were meticulously recorded but never published. About ten years ago two loose-leaf binders of all these sessions were found in a box of old books that were donated to the Center.
